Kirkenes Hospital, opened in 2018, is a new and modern hospital that offers comprehensive emergency services and an emergency department. The air ambulance service is stationed at Kirkenes Airport, and an ambulance helicopter is permanently attached to the hospital for rapid response in emergency situations.
