At the Borderland Museum we tell about Sør-Varanger as a border area and meeting place. Permanent exhibitions show themes such as industrial construction, war history and the daily life of the border people through the ages. In addition, there are current changing exhibitions. There is also a museum shop with a varied selection and a bright and pleasant café. The building has a beautiful foyer that is often used in connection with cultural events. Outside there are benches, a playground and an exciting labyrinth to explore in the summer. The building is located by a popular hiking area right at the entrance to Kirkenes, about one kilometer from the center of Kirkenes.
